Plans For The Near Future

I’m still into improvement and improving my skills, and I’m already working on it.

Soon I’ll get a new tablet (my current one is already pretty worn out) and then (at the latest) I’ll be able to improve even more and to stream again (more often/regularly – at best on daily basis in order to draw several stuff every day in order to guarantee progress – either on livestream.com or even twitch.tv).

So I just wanted to let you know that there are plans on how to get better and better and maybe become known a bit more.

More news about this will follow, when I’ll be ready to go with my new tablet :3

I’m very proud of this artwork, because I’ve used no references for it except for my comic/its characters and imo it came out really well… It’s at least the most realistic pic I’ve ever drawn, I guess. Hope you like it, too ;)

WIPs & No Time For Nothin’

Here are some WIPs I’ve been working on for several months now, every now and then some more brush strokes have been/are added, not much progress, but hey, at least something. Got no time for my comic, unfortunately, but hopefully that’ll change again soon. Blablah, right.

Improvement Improving Recourses

I’ve always been looking for good and helpful recourses in order to improve my own skills. In my opinion, everyone who wants to improve and learn something new, should do that. But the more people are out there, drawing and posting their own tutorials on things, the harder it gets to find the really good ones which might really help you.

I feel the urgent need to improve, but I didn’t really start to do that seriously, like some great artists did already, like Brent Hollowell. I want to change that and luckily I found a pretty helpful website which might help me with this. I’m talking about CtrlPaint.com – Digital painting simplified. If you got the same goal, improving or even learn how to draw, go have a look at this website and the videos posted on it. It totally kicks ass.

In case you didn’t knew this one already; another pretty helpful, but confusingly stuffed website (because of the huge amount of people registered there) is DeviantArt.com – a great recourse for custom brushes, tutorials, impressions, inspiration and just ass kicking artwork and artists. Also is Conceptart.org.

Go have a look, get impressed and inspired, stop complaining about that other artists are way better than you and start improving. Like I want to. Good luck to you and me! :)

FFS, I’m done with the super-self-customized website designs, I’m going for something more simple now, with a blog (where I’ll post sketches, progress, this and that), a cut back gallery and some pages. I guess it’s better this way and maybe I’ll finally start to update my website more often T_T

 

So, something to start with, here’s some new stuff I drew recently:

Yeah, pretty much Avatar fan art, or to be more precise, artwork I did for my new webcomic Layon Yayo ;3 And a little pic I had to draw because of the Tillers daily quests in WoW:MoP… ^^ Maybe you know that feel yourself.

 

Right now, as always, I’m working on several projects, I’ll post some progress pics of one of those WIPs pretty soon.

 

However, I got the feeling that I really need to improve my drawing skills. Why re-organizing my gallery/images, I took a deeper look on my artwork again and I realized, that I have to improve. So buying a new graphic tablet would come in more than useful to me. After having my Bamboo for so long I’m thinking about saving money for a Intuos 5 L. I’d love to have a Cintiq 22 or 24 HD, but they’re not affordable for me. T_T But I guess an Intuos will be more than enough ^^ At least for now, hehehe… ~_~
